Todd Baumann

Todd Baumann has coordinated the adoption

Program Manager, Krista Egger manages

of the single family affordable housing
program, and she is responsible for
managing the home rating process for
all SystemVision homes. Krista is one
of Advanced Energy’s key trainers,

of Building Science series. Krista
attended Oberlin College in Oberlin,
OH, and graduated with a BA in art
history. Her focus was on architectural
history.

Tim Eian
Architect and Founder, TE Studio, Ltd.
Tim
Eian was born and raised in Germany,
and graduated from the architecture
school at the University of Kaiserslautern
(Germany) as an engineer. Tim is an
associate member of the AIA, and a
certified Passive House consultant.
In 2008 he founded TE Studio – a
building design firm dedicated to beautiful,
resource-efficient buildings. His company
specializes in extremely energy efficient
new construction and deep energy reduction
retrofit projects.

Dan Frank

Patrick Huelman
Associate Professor, University of

Pat
Huelman is the lead faculty for the
Residential Building Science and
Technology undergraduate degree and
a principal investigator on several
research projects, including the Cloquet
Residential Research Facility for hygrothermal
testing. Pat is extremely active in
professional education for the home
building industry and is recognized
for his “systems approach.” His
areas of expertise include: energy
efficient design, long-term durability,
building systems, foundations, moisture
control, ventilation strategies, and
indoor air quality.

Don Hynek
Quality Assurance Coordinator, Division
of Energy Services
Don Hynek is a field inspector for
weatherization agencies in Wisconsin.
Don has been an active participant
in energy efficiency and multifamily
programs for a decade as a Track Leader
for five Affordable Comfort conferences,
in the three-year effort by the Multifamily
National Working Group to design an
Energy Star program for apartments
and condos, and in the Department of
Energy’s Multifamily Energy conferences
in 2003, 2006, and 2008. Don is also
active in building performance research.
At present, he may well be the country's
most experienced practitioner in the
exceptionally obscure field of blower
door testing in large apartment buildings.

Richard Klimala
Owner, BCB Construction
Richard
Klimala has built a substantial number
of single family homes throughout
the Twin Cities in the past 11 years.
As an Energy Star builder, BCB Construction
was selected to construct the American
Lung Association National Demonstration
Housing in the City of Richfield in
2004. The company is also the recipient
of the St. Paul Heritage Preservation
Commission and St. Paul Chapter of

Stephen
R. Klossner has over 25 years of experience
in the indoor air quality
and home diagnostics field. Steve participates
in ongoing indoor air quality research

Russ Landry is a mechanical engineer
who has developed practical knowledge

Jorge Lopez

Jorge Lopez has
been with SWMHP since 2004 and has
a Bachelor of Science
Degree – Business Administration,
Cum Laude. Lopez has been involved
with construction since 1979. As the
Senior Project Manager at SWMHP, Lopez
